Children and Family Services | Migrant Education

Migrant Education assists participating districts with the implementation of supplemental support services for eligible migrant students and their families. Migrant Education is responsible for a number of programs and activities designed to promote academic success. Throughout the year, the region provides inservice training for teachers, instructional program support, and fiscal program operation assistance to the participating districts.

Who we serve

  • Children of migrant farm workers
  • Children between the ages of two and twenty one
  • Children who travel across state and school district lines in search of work in agriculture or fishing
  • Region VII currently serves students in the
    • Coachella Valley USD
    • Corona-Norco USD
    • Desert Sands USD
    • Palo Verde USD
    • Palm Springs USD
    • Perris School District
