Educational Services | Safe Schools Unit
The Safe Schools Unit provides resources, training, and technical assistance to create safe, supportive, and secure learning environments. The unit offers support in the areas of; Child Welfare and Attendance, Interdistrict transfer appeals, After School Programs, Expulsion appeals, Homeless Education/McKinney-Vento, Emergency Preparedness and Crisis Response, Safe and Drug Free Schools and Communities (Title IV), Tobacco Use Prevention Education, School Attendance Review Boards and District Attorney Mediation, and as the liaison with local law enforcement agencies.
