Student-Produced News and Entertainment During Distant Learning

In this session I’ll share how I started and promoted a new Film Production Pathway at NorteVista High School during the pandemic, and how students in the pathway have been producing a bi-weekly news and information show on YouTube despite the technological and practical challenges of working from home without professional equipment. I’ll also share how, through this show and social media efforts, students have been able to stay more connected to their peers and the campus community, and have been able to collaborate and offer opportunities to other teachers and non-pathway students to be a part of NVTV (NorteVista TV).
