This training introduces the Tier 2 intervention “Check-In, Check-Out (CICO)”. CICO is an evidence-based

practice that is effective for several challenges including behavioral, academic, and attendance. Join us for this experiential training where participants will get a feel for how this simple support can help so many students.

SESSION 1
• Understand the CICO research base and logistics • Learn the CICO cycle and how to apply it
• Create messaging for stakeholder groups (families, staff, students) for maximum impact
SESSION 2 • Develop simple data tools to progress-monitor student response
• Learn the various roles associated with CICO
• Understand the foundational role of Tier 1 practices within the CICO intervention
