PBIS PD Schedule 24-25

Welcome! We offer a variety of professional development to support the implementation of the PBIS Framework. This is a live document that will continuously updated as we add more trainings throughout the year.

 

Tier 1 Team Trainings

The team training will guide school teams through the development and implementation of a school-wide PBIS integrating social emotional learning and mental health. The training sequence includes many elements:

  • School-wide rules defining behavioral expectations across settings
  • Lesson plans for teaching expectations
  • Acknowledgment and consequence systems
  • Data-based decision making
  • Roles and responsibilities for effective teaming
  • Classroom PBIS

Tier 2 Team Trainings

This training guides school teams through the development and implementation of a Check In/Check Out system for Tier 2 intervention. The training sequence includes:

  • Data-based decision making, problem solving, and progress monitoring
  • Student identification and participation criteria
  • Development of daily progress report (DPR)
  • Processes for Implementing across settings, throughout the school day
  • Development of Check in / Check out “CICO” system and other Tier 2 interventions
  • Roles and responsibilities for effective teaming

Tier 3 Team Trainings

For schools ready to implement Tier 3 into their system of supports, we offer a variety of elective professional development:

Topics include:

  • Teaming at Tier 3
  • Bridging Tier 2 to Tier 2 Interventions
  • Covering all your Bases for Tier 1,2,3
  • Introduction and Strengthening Functional Behavior Assessment (FBA) & Assessment

PBIS Apps School-wide Information System (SWIS)

PBIS Apps School-wide Information System (SWIS) allows schools and districts to collect behavior referral data and make active, data-driven decisions to create the kind of school where every student is successful. SWIS transforms behavior data in real-time so school/district teams can get students the support they need sooner and targeted to their specific needs.

Join a virtual training with your Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) data team to learn more about how to improve your school or district process for data-based decision making with SWIS.

*Site/District will be responsible for payment of the subscription fee ($350/school) directly to PBIS Apps.

PBIS Tiers 2 & 3 – Introduction to Functional Behavior Assessment (FBA) & Behavior Support Planning

This introductory training, appropriate for all school/district personnel, will guide participants through a better understanding of why students behave the way they do and how schools can help shape behavior in more positive ways. Focusing on a brief Functional Behavioral Assessment (FBA) and Behavior
Support Planning (BSP) process, participants will gain comfort with simple tools that can be embedded within the Tier 2 system, and built upon into Tier 3 supports.

• Explore new function-based and behavior-planning tools, templates, and processes for use at Tier 2 and Tier 3
• Share FBA-related reflections and network with colleagues
• Anchor the FBA and behavior planning processes within the Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS)
• Organize your new tools and processes for efficiency and ease of use
