This training offers a great introduction to the Tier 2 intervention “Check-In, Check-Out (CICO)”. CICO is an evidence-based practice that has been shown to be effective for a number of challenges including behavioral, academic and attendance. Join us for this experiential training where participants will get a feel for how this simple support can help so many students.

Part 1

• Understand the CICO research base and logistics
• Learn the CICO cycle and how to apply it
• Create messaging for stakeholder groups (families, staff, students) for maximum impact

Part 2 

• Develop simple data tools to progress-monitor student response
• Learn the various roles associated with CICO
• Understand the foundational role of Tier 1 practices within the CICO intervention

Training Time: Full Day (6 Hours) or Two Sessions of 2-3 Hours
