Description:
Research shows that self-awareness and self-care increase our capacity to provide a safe and empathetic school environment that promotes learning and healing. In this training, participants will learn about the benefits of Trauma-Informed School-Based practices in supporting the whole child. Participants will also Understand the effects of trauma and ACEs on the brain and central nervous system and their impact on health and wellness. In all, this training promotes school-based practices that fosters a safe, and supportive learning environment that recognizes and responds to the effects of trauma on students.
Participants will:
- Learn how to foster students’ capacity to recover from difficulties through self-regulation and self-compassion.

Integrating strategies will deepen their understanding of supporting students’ emotional, academic, behavioral, social-emotional, and mental health needs.

Access practical classroom and school-wide tools and resources.
