Designing School Campaigns around Suicide Prevention, Wellness, and Drug Use Prevention Practices in Schools

Description:

This training aims to equip school staff with the knowledge and tools necessary to organize and implement week-long activity campaigns focused on Suicide Prevention, Wellness, and Mindfulness within schools. Participants will learn effective strategies, gain resources, and develop action plans tailored to their school community’s needs.

Participants will:

• Understand the importance of addressing suicide prevention, wellness, and mindfulness in schools.
• Learn how to plan and organize a week-long activity campaign effectively.
• Explore practical strategies and activities to promote mental health and well-being among students.
• Develop skills in creating a supportive and inclusive school environment.
• Gain access to resources, tools, and community partnerships to sustain efforts beyond the campaign week.

Training Time: 2-3 Hours

MTSS Focus: Tier 1

**Kits will be provided to schools for attending this training (Kits will include materials to support school activities in suicide prevention, wellness and mindfulness) to be utilized schoolwide.
