In light of current and ongoing concerns around the impact of institutional racism on school communities, it is an opportune time to provide a safe, yet brave space for district leaders to heal, learn, network, and collaborate to build capacity to share and replicate best practices.
Session focus areas include:
- Reimagining schools with a racial equity lens.
- Understand equity leadership framework to recognize and respond to the barriers to equity.
- Define equity through student stories.
- Reflect on the role of educators in perpetuating or ending educational equity gaps.
- Understanding strategies to be proactive and responsive to the diverse needs of the school communities.
- Share best practices through participation in consultancy protocols to address equity challenges and scenarios impacting educators.
