2nd Annual Winter Wonderland Event Brings Holiday Hope to Riverside County Students on December 3

Free event hosted by Harvest Christian Fellowship Riverside for foster and homeless youth and their families to include meal, games, crafts, family activities, and a gift for each student

RIVERSIDE – Students in Riverside County in foster care settings or youth and their families who are at risk of homelessness or insecure housing are invited to the Riverside County Office of Education’s 2nd Annual Winter Wonderland event from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, December 3, 2022, at Harvest Christian Fellowship Riverside (6115 Arlington Ave, Riverside, CA 92504).

More than 1,000 foster and homeless youth are expected to descend upon the grounds of Harvest Christian Fellowship Riverside that will be transformed into a magical and wintry wonderland. 

Highlights of the free event include:

  • Real snow for sledding
  • Ice skating
  • Musical light show
  • Hot cocoa station
  • Carnival games
  • Self-care craft area
  • Food booths

Every child will leave with a toy or gift. Registration is required. For more information about this free event, please visit the Winter Wonderland event web page.    

“The Winter Wonderland event is a way for all students to have something to look forward to this holiday season,” said Riverside County Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Edwin Gomez. “This event represents an opportunity to wrap our community’s collective arms around students who are deserving of positive reinforcement, loving kindness, and a fresh reminder of the importance of hope for the future.”
