Get Support

“What mental health needs is more sunlight, more candor, and more unashamed conversation.” – Glenn Close.

Get SupportToday’s theme will focus on finding support for yourself or someone you care about through building a strong and positive social network. Social support is a key ingredient of solid relationships and strong mental health and well-being.  Social support involves having a network of family and friends that you can turn to in times of need. Whether you just need to talk with someone or you are facing a crisis, these relationships are important to our everyday lives and the challenges we sometimes have to face.Such social support may come in different forms.  It may involve support with daily tasks, providing information and advice and/or emotional support.

Today’s activities will assist you in building your social network and understanding how important these relationships can be to your mental health and well-being. We hope you enjoy exploring the variety of online resources and workshops as you continue on your journey toward wellness.
