California Collaborative for Learning Acceleration (CCLA) is designed to strategically leverage the expertise around learning acceleration across the state in order to provide resources and support that can be accessed by every educator. The design of this work will include an online repository of high-quality professional learning resources for mathematics, literacy, and language development (LD) that integrate universal design for learning (UDL), culturally sustaining pedagogy (CSP) and social-emotional learning (SEL) practices. Additionally, seven regional hubs will be actively engaged in developing capacity across the state through local support and capacity building, professional learning networks, regional events, and customized coaching.
The CCLA seeks to:
Support student acceleration of learning in the areas of mathematics, literacy, and/or language development.
Provide evidence-based professional learning to administrators, teachers, and paraeducators.
Support sustainable changes in our educational system that support equitable student outcomes.
Develop a statewide network of educational leaders who will share and carry these practices forward in their career.
