Home MenuEducational Coaching
Focusing on relationships of mutual exchange between educators, we focus on empowering educators to look inward to examine their behaviors, beliefs, ways of being, taking responsibility, and moving onward.
The transformational power of coaching empowers educators. One cannot advocate for students until they can advocate for themselves. Our coaches work to create spaces of inclusion, curiosity, creativity, courage through open-ended questioning, reflection and looking specifically at how educators plan to challenge their own ideas, behaviors, and methods.
Coaching Goals
Goal 1: Build emotional resilience because resilience shifts and expands our ways of being.
Goal 2: Build reflective abilities because strengthening reflective abilities can shift beliefs.
Goal 3: Build skills because skills result in more effective behaviors.
Coaching Process
- Surfacing current reality.
- Recognize impact.
- Explore emotions.
- Create new practices.
“Coaching is professional development. Coaching is a vehicle through which we can reflect on our own practices, understand ourselves better, surface and shift our own beliefs, and build new habits, because coaching is just a way to learn and grow.”
- Elena Aguilar, Coaching for Equity (2020)
