The intent of these meetings is to bring together district and school site science leaders to focus on science standards implementation in Region 10. We will be guided by the Six Principles of Implementation Science:
- Be problem-focused.
- Attend to variability.
- See the system.
- Embrace measurement.
- Learn through disciplined inquiry.
- Organize as networks.
As a science leader in Region 10, you will help the region to focus on vital behaviors for implementation in the secondary and elementary classrooms. These vital behaviors will drive the planning and work for our District Science Teacher's Community of Practice meetings. We envision that leaders will go back and share this information with their district and sites for implementation purposes. A district science leader is a teacher, department chair, or administrator who has been identified by the district office or school leader designated science representative.
Who Should Attend These Meetings:
TK-12 district science leaders, school site leadership for both elementary and secondary, and informal science leaders.
