Fine Arts Spectacular Judge

Maricruz Osorio is a first-generation Mexican American and native of Palm Springs. She is a Ph.D. candidate in political science and a founding member of People of Color Also Know Stuff (POCAlsoKnow), which promotes scholars of color in political science and efforts to advance racial diversity and inclusion.

Her doctoral work focuses on the study and empowerment of marginalized groups. Her art holds two primary purposes. The first is to explore her feelings unrestricted by reasoning or logic. The second is to explore the evolving feelings of society at large. She has painted in acrylics and oils since 2005.
