Dance Around the World is an interactive presentation that can be used in a variety of subject areas to share about history and dance, while allowing students to collaborate in a low stress and engaging environment. This presentation models how disciplines can be integrated for an activity that will engage 6-12th graders, with movement and historical and cultural information that they can either explore further or be frontloaded with in advance. 

Presenter Callie "Jo Jo" Neal has been in love with the arts since childhood. Her family is full of musicians, some of whom continued to tour until the pandemic hit. Callie graduated from Ramona High School, a performing arts magnet, and went on to major in Dance at the University of California, Riverside. While building Riverside USD's first dance CTE program, Callie also opened her own studio Jo Jo's Dance. While Callie loves the stage, her greatest admiration is how the arts teach us about history and culture.
