Palm Springs International Film Festival The Palm Springs International Film Festival partners with the Riverside County Office of Education, Visual and Performing Arts to bring their Filmmaker in the Classroom events to students throughout the county.

In March 2021, the festival partnered with Riverside County Office of Education, Visual and Performing Arts, to offer a free online Student Screening Day to Media Arts teachers and students throughout the county. Four dates and times were offered for students to view the film "Boys State" and experience a Q and A session with the film's director, producer, and a subject from the film. Please check out the Student Screening Day Flyer and stay tuned for next years' lineup of events.

Beginning with a pilot event for the Riverside Unified School District in November 2020, the festival offered students viewing permissions to a selected short film, "My Hero" by Logan Jackson, accompanied by a study guide. A short time later, teachers and students were invited to a Zoom meeting with the filmmaker for a "Question and Answer" session. This model will continue throughout the school year with various films and filmmakers. It is available to any school district within Riverside County, free of charge.

For more information, contact Louisa Higgins.
