Center for Administrator Preparation
The Center for Administrator Preparation offers support for those pursuing requirements to become educational administrators in California. Our programs provide course requirements and job embedded training necessary to receive a preliminary, or clear an administrative services credential.
Educational inequities exist in schools across a variety of dimensions. We are committed to empowering inclusive, culturally responsive school leaders to facilitate equitable practices. Our program is focused on building capacity with new educational administrators and prospective school principals to excel at meeting the increased challenges of school leadership.
What we do
We empower and equip ethical, equity-minded administrators to understand and embrace the challenges of 21st century educational and equity-driven leadership.
Why we do it
Our goal is to develop leaders who can transform educational institutions by dismantling inequitable practices and build systems to ensure educational equity for all.
How we do it
We build the capacity of school leaders by providing high quality, two-tiered administrative services credential programs for educators aligned to the California Administrator Performance Expectations (CAPEs), California Professional Standards for Education Leaders (CPSELs), and Model Code of Ethics for Educators (MCEE) Standards with a strong focus on equity.
