The California Community Schools Partnership Program (California Education Code 8900-8902) outlines the work of community schools to achieve more equitable and supportive school environments which coordinate services for the whole child and their community, disrupting racial and socio-economic inequalities, and providing pathways for success to all students and families.

The mission of the Riverside County Office of Education is to provide support to our school districts that are providing services to the students, families and communities of Riverside County. Our efforts are focused on centering schools as the hub for these services, and encouraging responsible community partnerships to further the work of transforming schools across the county.

Objectives

Riverside County community schools will:

  • Develop and maintain shared-governance committees who monitor and make decisions on the implementation of each school site’s implementation plan
  • Create necessary infrastructures which foster equitable and racially-just instructional practices, school and community partnerships, and needs-based services embedded within the school’s community.
