Artificial Intelligence

The Riverside County Office of Education (RCOE) is committed to supporting schools, districts, and educators in preparing students for a rapidly changing future. Artificial Intelligence (AI) has the potential to enhance teaching, learning, and operations when implemented thoughtfully, ethically, and with student success at the center.

Strategic Vision for Artificial Intelligence at RCOE

RCOE's vision is for every student and educator to become not only AI literate, but also AI ready, understanding how AI works and being prepared to use it effectively in their roles to support learning in schools. We see AI as a tool to personalize learning, increase access to resources, spark creativity, and prepare students for a future in which AI will be a part of everyday life.

We are committed to supporting schools and educators as they navigate this rapidly evolving technology. Throughout the year, we offer a variety of events, workshops, and learning opportunities designed to help educators build confidence and competence in AI integration. These sessions address topics such as classroom applications, ethics and bias, digital literacy, and strategies for student engagement.

Our signature offering is the AI-Ready Educator course, a comprehensive learning experience designed to help educators develop the knowledge and skills needed to effectively and responsibly integrate AI into their teaching practice. This course, along with our other professional learning opportunities, reflects our belief that AI should empower educators to inspire curiosity, critical thinking, and problem-solving in their students.

Through this approach, AI becomes a tool for:

  • Personalized learning that meets individual student needs.
  • Empowered educators who can integrate AI into teaching and leadership practices.
  • Ethical use and student supports that safeguard privacy, fairness, and student well-being.
  • Alignment with state and federal guidance to ensure responsible adoption.

We invite you to explore what is possible with AI in education and to join us in shaping the future of learning.
