In partnership with Riverside Community Care, the Riverside County Foster Youth Services Coordinating Program invites you to attend the Trauma-Sensitive Schools Digital Academy. This three-month course, delivered by seasoned experts, is designed to help people working within the school systems (K–12) to understand the prevalence and impact of traumatic events on youth and why a support system such as a school is a critical area to understand and embrace trauma. The training provides a context and history of trauma in schools, what it means to be a trauma-sensitive school as well as what school personnel can do to ensure their practices and policies are trauma-informed.
